Tim Allen Called Out by Santa Clauses Co-Star for ‘Rude’ Behavior

Tim Allen has been called out for the way he allegedly behaved toward a co-star on the first season of The Santa Clauses.

Per Variety, Casey Wilson addressed her experience working on the Disney+ series during a recent episode of her Bitch Sesh podcast. Wilson, a former Saturday Night Live performer and Shrink Next Door star, previously appeared alongside Allen in the original pilot episode of The Santa Clauses. Following the second season’s recent run on Disney+, Wilson explained on her podcast how she really felt about Allen and The Santa Clauses, revealing how she’s waited until now out of respect for a “great friend” who’s a producer on the show. She also says that her kids “love the movies,” referring to the original feature film trilogy starring Allen. However, Wilson feels that the time has come to speak out.

Tim Allen Teases Home Improvement Revival, Reveals Potential Title

Tim Allen confirms his interest in bringing back Home Improvement and reveals the ideas he has for the potential revival.

“Tim Allen was such a bitch. It was the truly single worst experience I’ve ever had with a co-star ever,” Wilson said. “So I’m in a scene. It’s just me and Tim Allen and I’m supposed to throw things at him. I think he’s a burglar. So he’s coming down the chimney, obviously as Santa, and I am woken up thinking there’s an intruder, basically like a home invasion scene. So I’m throwing things at him. [He] goes over to the producer who is standing four feet from me and goes, and I hear him, he goes, ‘You gotta tell her to stop stepping on my lines.’ The producer turns to me with horror on his face and has to walk one foot to me and he goes, ‘Um, Tim would ask that you stop stepping on his lines.’”

After noting how Allen’s behavior had “everybody walking on eggshells” and looking “frantic,” Wilson added, “He was so f***ing rude. Never made eye contact, never said anything. It was so uncomfortable.”

Casey Wilson Says This Was a “Good Day” for Tim Allen

Wilson also shared a memory of Allen allegedly storming off the set abruptly after completing one shot without letting anyone know. She also suggests that perhaps Allen could be more difficult for others to work with, claiming that someone else on the set told her that this was actually a “good day” for the controversial actor. In any case, it would seem that Wilson is happy that she didn’t return for the show’s second season.

“It’s the end, and Tim Allen goes, ‘Leaving!,’ takes his Santa cape, picks it up and drops it on the floor and walks out,” Wilson explained. “And they hustle in his stand-in; lovely man, who was much nicer to act against. People are scurrying to pick up his velvet Santa coat. He’s a bitch. And this is the best… I will not say who said this. This was someone that I do not know, perhaps in the crew. [He or she] breezes past me and just goes, ‘You’re seeing him on a good day.‘”

Who Did Casey Wilson Play in The Santa Clauses?

Wilson played a character returning from the original film, taking over the role of young Sara from former child actor Melissa King. Sara was the first child who Allen’s Scott Calvin first meets in his new role as Santa Claus in that movie with Wilson playing a grown-up version of the character. Meanwhile, other actors reprised their roles from the original film series, such as Elizabeth Mitchell (Carol Calvin/Mrs. Claus) and David Krumholtz (Bernard).

After debuting in November 2022, The Santa Clauses was renewed for a second season the following month. Season 2 premiered on Nov. 8, and the six-episode season just wrapped up its run on Disney+. It’s not yet clear if there will be a third season as the series hasn’t been renewed at this time.
