Casey Anthony’s mother, Cindy Anthony, had a panic attack during the interview for ‘Casey Anthony’s Parents: The Lie Detector Test’. According to Cindy, her daughter is well aware of what actually happened back in 2008 after her late granddaughter disappeared.
Caylee was two years old when she disappeared on July 15, 2008, and later, her skeleton remains were found in a wooded area not too far from the Anthony family’s house location.
Based on the found proof and after unveiling that false information was provided by Casey to the police, she was arrested the next day for Caylee’s kidnapping and was charged with first-degree murder on October 14, 2008.
Cindy Anthony had a panic attack at the Interview
During the interview of Casey Anthony’s Parents: The Lie Detector Test, Cindy Anthony went unconscious and started having a panic attack while she was insisting that her daughter, Casey, knew what had happened to her late granddaughter, Caylee Anthony, following her disappearance in 2008.
In a clip of the A&E upcoming special Casey Anthony’s Parents: The Lie Detector Test, Cindy (65) said, “Yes, I believe [Casey knows what happened], 100 percent.” The clip was agreed upon by Entertainment Weekly. Cindy mentioned that she was hoping all this time that Casey would confess. Further, she said, “And that’s the only reason I’ve been putting myself through all of her drama and everything.”
Caylee Anthony was born on August 9, 2005. She was a 2-year-old toddler and used to live with her mother at her maternal grandparents (Cindy and George Anthony) home.
On July 15, 2008, Cindy reported her missing on a 9-1-1 call, where she stated that she had not seen her for the last 31 days and that Casey had been giving an unsatisfactory explanation in regard to her whereabouts.
Later, Casey called the police and gave false information to the police, saying that Caylee had been kidnapped on June 9 by her nanny. In October 2008, Casey was arrested for first-degree murder.
After almost six months of being missing, Caylee’s skeleton remains were found at a place near Anthony’s family house. As per the investigation and trial testimony, duct tape was found near the front and mouth of the skull.
Later, the medical examiner declared the cause of Caylee’s death to be “homicide by undetermined means.” On the basis of circumstantial evidence, Casey sought the death penalty from the state.
Related to the case in front of the jury, the prosecution had stated that in order to get rid of her parental responsibilities, Casey had murdered Caylee by using chloroform and putting duct tape around her nose and mouth.
Whereas the defense stated that Caylee had accidentally drowned in the swimming pool of the family house and that her body was disposed of by George.
A jury on July 5, 2011, found Casey not guilty of the first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, and aggravated manslaughter of a child, but for four misdemeanor counts as she had provided false information to a law enforcement officer and was released in 2011 after her serving time.
Cindy and George Anthony have been a part of the documented limited series “Casey Anthony: Where the Truth Lies” for more than a year. Casey claimed that she was a victim of sexual abuse by her father and was also involved in concealing what happened to Caylee after her death.
In response to Casey’s allegations, Cindy said, “To be here and keep listening to her, make different stories as they fit.”
George has already denied the allegations (71). During the same interview, Cindy started becoming visibly unconscious as she continued to say while heavily breathing, “I’m having a hard time. I’m having a panic attack. I’m sorry, I’m going to take my anxiety pills.”
Following this, she stood up and left the interview, saying she had a feeling of fainting at the moment. To know Cindy and George’s side of the story, watch Casey Anthony’s Parents: The Lie Detector Test, which is available to stream on the A&E app and aetv.com.
