The Assassin’s Creed franchise has been known as of late for its sprawling open worlds with their overwhelming number of activities and collectibles. Thankfully, Ubisoft’s latest entry, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, has toned things down quite a bit by bringing the series back to its small-scale roots. That being said, Mirage‘s Baghdad is still massive, and there are plenty of collectibles to find, both inside and outside its walls.
There are five regions in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, each with its own set of collectibles. The Harbiyah region has a whopping thirty-one collectibles to find, and while a lot of those are nothing more than world-building Historical Sites, a good many of them are more than worth obtaining.
Where To Find The Zanj Uprising Outfit (Gear Chest)
The first of Harbiyah’s Gear Chests is located along the northern coast of Khuld on a ship in the Upper Harbor. Keep an eye out for several enemies on their approach, as this is a restricted area. Inside the chest, you’ll find the Zanj Uprising Outfit. This outfit has the Infamous perk, which reduces the impact of illegal actions on Basim’s notoriety by 20%, and up to a maximum of 40% using two Upgrade Schematics.
Where To Find The First Zanj Uprising Outfit Upgrade Schematic (Gear Chest)
You can find the first Upgrade Schematic for the Zanj Uprising Outfit in a Gear Chest located in the Khurasan Gate Guardhouse, south of the Viewpoint in Khuld. One of Mirage‘s quests will eventually send you to this location, but you’re able to retrieve the chest at any time. The chest contains an Upgrade Schematic for the Zanj Uprising Outfit, which will increase the outfit perk’s effectiveness by 10%.
Where To Find The Second Zanj Uprising Outfit Upgrade Schematic (Gear Chest)
You can find the next Gear Chest in the Harbiyah region in the Prince’s Palace near the northeastern coast of Khuld. This is another heavily guarded area, so you’ll need to proceed cautiously and avoid combat if you’re able to. Upon opening the chest, you’ll receive the second Upgrade Schematic for the Zanj Uprising Outfit, which can increase the effectiveness of the outfit’s Infamous perk by 10%.
Where To Find The Zanj Uprising Sword (Gear Chest)
The fourth Gear Chest is located in the Harbiyah region in the Metal Factory in northern Shari’. The Zanj Uprising Sword deals 60 base damage and 35 base defensive damage, but you can upgrade it to deal a maximum of 78 damage and 46 defensive damage. It also has the Strike Back perk, which allows Basim to deal an extra 50% damage after a perfect Dodge.
Where To Find The First Zanj Uprising Sword Upgrade Schematic (Gear Chest)
The first Upgrade Schematic for the Zanj Uprising Sword is located in the Soap Boiler’s district in the Quadrangle of the Persians, southeast of the Great Mosque and across the river. By taking the sword and its Upgrade Schematic to a Blacksmith, you can upgrade the sword and/or change its appearance. The first upgrade for the Zanj Uprising Sword increases its damage by 9 and its defensive damage by 5.
Where To Find The Second Zanj Uprising Sword Upgrade Schematic (Gear Chest)
The final Gear Chest in Harbiyah also contains the final Upgrade Schematic for the Zanj Uprising Sword. The chest is located in Damascus Gate Prison in the Quadrangle of the Persians. While you can retrieve the chest at any point, you’ll eventually come here for one of the main quests, so it’s recommended that you wait until then. The final upgrade for the Zanj Uprising Sword will increase its damage by 9 and its defensive damage by 6.
Where To Find Kalila wa-Dimna (Lost Book)
You can find the Lost Book titled Kalila wa-Dimna in a locked building, southwest of the Great Mosque near the western border of the Quadrangle of the Persians. First, enter the building through its open window above the door, then throw a knife at the oil jar through the bars inside to destroy the bar on the door. Then enter the door and retrieve the book.
Where To Find Al-Tabari: Tafsir Of al-Tabari (Lost Book)
The Lost Book Al-Tabari: Tafsir of al-Tabari is located underground, west of the Nestorian Monastery in Zubaydiyah. To access its location, look for a secret entrance just south of the book on the map, then enter the secret entrance and navigate through the maze of shelves to find the book.
Where To Find “Left Behind” (Enigma)
The “Left Behind” Enigma is likely going to be the first Enigma you find, as it is in the first area you’ll enter once they arrive in Baghdad. You can find “Left Behind” near a body in a house northwest of the Viewpoint in Shari’.
Where To Find “Find What I Stole!” (Enigma)
“Find What I Stole” is a unique Enigma, in that instead of providing a map, it gives a letter as a riddle. You can find this Enigma under a canopy in the Qutrabbul Gate area in northwestern Shari’.
Where To Find “A Holy Hoard” (Enigma)
“A Holy Hoard” is another map riddle similar to “Left Behind.” You’ll find it inside a house on the southeastern border of Harbiyah in Khuld, just west of Prince’s Gate.
Where To Find The Aksumite Amulet (Dervis’ Artifacts)
A woman raking the ground in the Dyeing Factory in Shari’ has the Aksumite Amulet that you’ll need to retrieve for Dervis. Pickpocket her to acquire the amulet, but be wary of the guards nearby — if you fail the pickpocket mini-game, you’ll be on the lookout for them.
Where To Find The Buddhist Votive Plaque (Dervis’ Artifacts)
The Buddhist Votive Plaque is being held by a man sweeping east of the Great Mosque and south of Damascus Gate Prison in the Quadrangle of the Persians. There are two guards nearby that he’ll likely call if you fail the pickpocket, but there’s a cart full of hay there to hide in if need be.
Where To Find The Scandinavian Brooch (Dervis’ Artifacts)
You can pickpocket the Scandinavian Brooch off a man making rations near the field south of the Ditch Sluice of the Fief in Zubaydiyah. Several guards are waiting in line for rations here, so you’ll want to make sure their pickpocket is a success on the first try. Otherwise, quickly head out into the fields and wait a bit before trying again.
Where To Find The Money Cowrie (Dervis’ Artifacts)
The last of Dervis’ Artifacts in Harbiyah is the Money Cowrie. You’ll find it on a man raking hay near the bridge east across the river from the Dyeing Factory. Unlike with the other artifacts, there are no guards anywhere near this man, and when he calls out to them, no one will come to help him. If you fail the pickpocket, simply run away for a bit and then return for another attempt.
How To Reveal Harbiyah’s Historical Sites
Unlike the other collectibles in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which appear once you get near them, the game’s Historical Sites can be revealed by finding Viewpoints and synchronizing with them. There are three Viewpoints in the Harbiyah region: one just to the west of central Quadrangle of the Persians, another just south of central Shari’, and a final one in central Khuld. Synchronizing with each of them will reveal all 13 Historical Sites on the map for Harbiyah, and you can see them by zooming all the way in on the map.
Where To Find The First Mysterious Shard
Before searching for Mysterious Shards, be aware that they will not become discoverable until you’ve reached a certain part of the story, and it will be clear once you do. At that point, look on their map for the Mysterious Shard symbol and look for a man walking in Khuld while protected by two guards.
You can either engage them in combat or kill the target NPC from range with a knife. Either way, be sure they pick up the Mysterious Shard once he’s defeated, even if it registers that they earned credit for it. If you fail to pick it up, you risk losing it permanently.
Where To Find The Second Mysterious Shard
You can find Harbiyah’s second Mysterious Shard on an NPC wandering the Quadrangle of the Persians. Unlike the previous shard’s holder, this NPC only has one guard in his company, and you can take them both out swiftly using Assassin Focus. Again, ensure you pick up the shard once he’s defeated.
How To Find And Complete “Holy Mission” (Tales Of Baghdad)
The final collectible in the Harbiyah region is a Tale of Baghdad. Assassin’s Creed Mirage‘s Tales of Baghdad act as side quests, and Harbiyah’s is called “Holy Mission.” To start the quest, look for a monk wandering the graveyard west of the Nestorian Monastery and speak with him.
Then, use Eagle Vision to locate highlighted gravestones and examine each of them. After you’ve examined four gravestones, a cutscene will begin, and then you’ll engage in combat with three guards. Once the guards are defeated, you can simply speak with the monk to complete the tale.
